3 Foods that are good for your skin:

1. Pumpkin seeds

Pumpkins are much more than a way of entertaining the kids at Halloween - they can also be a great way of looking after your skin thanks to the great benefits of their seeds. Pumpkin seeds are a great source of zinc which helps to protect the skin cells and maintain and promote healthy skin. Pumpkin seeds can be enjoyed on their own as a snack or sprinkled into natural yoghurt. Give your skin a real boost with Linwoods organic sunflower and pumpkin seeds, adding the great vitamin E power that comes from sunflower seeds.

2. Carrots

They recently made our list of 5 veggies for everyone to enjoy, and carrots are not only a tasty and versatile vegetable, they are also great for your skin. Carrots are high in beta carotene which the body converts into vitamin A. This helps to repair skin tissues and can help protect your skin from the powerful rays from the sun. Check out our carrot and flaxseed cake recipe for a great way to enjoy carrots all year round.

3. Water

While it's not necessarily a food, the most important thing for healthy skin is that it is kept hydrated, and this is done by drinking water. Water also flushes the toxins out of your body providing your cells with nutrients that help to keep your skin looking clearer. It is recommended that you drink at least 2 litres of water a day and try to start every day with a glass of cold water.
