Gunmen Kidnap Nasarawa Governor’s Special Adviser, John Waje Mamman

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Nasarawa State on Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development John Waje Mamman, has been kidnapped. Mamman was kidnapped on Saturday night in his house at Dari Town in Kokona, local government area of the state.


A witness said Mamman was with his friends when the kidnappers invaded his house and whisked him away. He said, the kidnappers surrounded his house, shot sporadically to scare people in the area.


The witness added that luck ran out against one of the suspected kidnappers as he was nabbed by some youths of the community. No communication has been made between the suspected kidnappers and Mamman’s family. When contacted, Police spokesman, ASP Ramhan Nansel said, “The state command has not been informed yet.”
