Alleged N3.4bn Fraud: Ganduje Queries Emir Sanusi, Demand Explanation In 24hrs

Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has issued a query to His Eminence, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Emir of Kano, over alleged financial misappropriation, NairaNaijaNews reports.


NairaNaijaNews learnt that the query was issued on Wednesday from the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), on behalf of Ganduje.

This comes less than 72 hours after the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission recommended the suspension of the emir.

NairaNaijaNews had reported that, the commission said during its investigation, it discovered that N3.4 billion was misspent by the emirate under Sanusi.

The amount was said to have been misappropriated between 2014 and 2017.
