Foluke Daramola Unveiled As Ambassador For New Reality TV Show

The dictum, ‘the older the wine, the finer the taste’, is incontrovertibly true of frontline Nollywood darling and social advocate Foluke Daramola-Salako. It doesn’t appear like she is slowing down on her winning streaks; as she continues to enjoy brand decoration, endorsement and positive public reviews.


The actor was on Wednesday, October 3 unveiled as show ambassador for Reality Check, a new reality TV show, which is set to debut on national TV across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa soon.

Reality Check is a rehabilitation reality TV show that targets youths that are perceived as misfits – Drug Addicts, Ex-convicts, young people that are frustrated and lack direction, commercial sex workers, destitute, Street imps and so on. Participants that are willing to take part on the show will be rehabilitated, and also benefit from scholarships and empowerment plans.

In a statement, the organizers of the new reality TV show described it as a social responsibility, a contribution to nation building, as well as a reawakening of national consciousness, to realizingthat persons that arelabeled misfit more than ever needhelp, as against being marginalized.

The show is first if it’s kind in Nigeria, and Africa, and is a collaborative presentation of Mirror Multimedia Network, Origin 8 Formats Limited and FOIBIR Entertainment Limited. 

In her reception statement, Foluke expressed delight at what she called another opportunity to impact lives.

“Anyone who knows me will testify that I am devoted to causes like this. I am passionate about ensuring that people live better lives. I lend my voice against injustice, and use all within my reach to give the disadvantaged living among us in the society a better life.

“That is what we live for. Life is life with others. This is another opportunity to impact lives positively.” The actress remarked.

The show which is set to debut across the country before long, promises viewers engagement, with high education and entertainment values.

Guidelines on how to apply, audition dates and locations will be made public soon.
