A former chairman of Kuje Area Council, Danladi Etsu Zhin, had his hotel/relaxation spot burnt down on Saturday, October 6th (yesterday) after the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections.
The ex-council boss declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives ticket of Abuja South Federal Constituency on the platform of the APC.
It was gathered that the APC House of Representatives primaries in Kuje and some locations in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were marred with violence and chaos.
A relaxation spot and event centre belonging to Danladi Etsu Zhin and some private property were burnt by suspected hoodlums while several people were injured in the mayhem in Kuje.
Some said the cause of the violence was as a result of the venue for the primary in Kuje ward while others said the crisis started when news filtered in that one of the aspirants was leading as some supporters alleged irregularities in the process.
