Former Governor of Plateau state, senator Joshua Dariye has purchased APC nomination form from prison for his reelection.
Recall that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had in June 2018 sentenced Dariye to 14 years in prison.
The presiding judge, Justice Adebukola Banjoko, in his judgement sentenced Dariye, a serving senator, to 2 year and 14-year jail terms to be served concurrently without an option of fine.
Over 10 years ago, In 2007, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) charged and arraigned Dariye on a 23-count charge bothering on money laundering.
He was accused of diverting N1.126bn from Plateau Government’s ecological funds.
