Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has condoled with the
Army on the recent killing of three soldiers by some militants in Ajakpa
community. The governor, who spoke yesterday during a condolence visit
to the Commanding Officer of the 19 Battalion at Okitipupa, described
the death of the soldiers as regrettable.
Akeredolu, who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Security, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo, said his administration would continue to provide logistics support for the military and other security agencies to protect the residents and their property.
The state government gave N250,000 to the soldier with bullet wounds and N500,000 each to the families of the three slain soldiers.
