#LAUTECH : NANS insists on 7 days ultimatum to Ajimobi, MOUA VC

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has insisted that it would not back down on its demand of Governor Abola Ajimobi of Oyo State and the Vice Chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUA), Abia State, Prof. Francis Otunta...

NANS President, Comrade Chinonso Obasi, at a news briefing in Abuja, announced that NANS had issued a seven days ultimatum, effective January 20, 2017, to Goveror Ajimobi to reopen the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, which has been under locks for eight months or face unfriendly action from the students.

According to Obasi,  “We see his (Governor Ajimobi)’s recent utterances that went viral on the social media during the students peaceful protest to Agodi government house as shameful, uncivil and belittling of the status of an Executive Governor. He is hereby issued with a 7- day ultimatum to reopen LAUTECH or face mass protest.”

The students equally gave MOUA Vice Chancellor  same period of time to resign his position of the institution over allegations of gross incompetence, maladministration and overwhelming corrupt practices.
