Dad's Army creator Jimmy Perry has died aged 93. The British comedy genius was responsible for bringing an array of classics to the small screen including It Ain't Half Hot Mum, Hi-de-Hi and You Rang M'Lord?.
Before he passed away, he revealed that his real life experiences inspired his writing. Perry was born on 20th of September 1923 in south-west London. May his soul RIP.
