Chief Commissioner, Scouts of Nigeria, Omoba Olusoga Sofolahan FCE led a high powered delegation of Scout Leaders and young scouts numbering over 400 across Nigeria to the Ooni's palacial mansion at Ile-Ife.
The Ooni was honoured with the award of messenger of peace in Africa while his Queen was honoured with the award of matron of cub scouts in Nigeria.
In his response, Ooni expressed his happiness over the event while giving thanks and praises to God Almighty through Jesus Christ for crowning him King. He pledged his duty to God, and emphasized service to mankind as his philosophy, duty to his country Nigeria.
