It was a moment of sadness and sorrow at Imo state University, (IMSU), Owerri, as the students of Medical and Laboratory science of the faculty of Health Sciences mourned two of their course mates who were reportedly shot dead by gunmen last Friday on Kaduna - Jos expressway...
According to reports gathered, the IMSU students who were on transit for an annual conference at University of Jos, Plateau state, North central - Nigeria, were hit by stray bullets when armed robbers and security men engaged in a gun duel on the high way, leading to the instant deaths of Joy Ihezie and Faith Okere, two and four hundreds levels students, while several others were injured.
The students who were in all black attires, placards and pictures of their fallen course mates, paraded in and around the school campus, singing mourning songs in honor of the dead.
