Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to only recognise candidates in Ondo and Edo states endorsed by the Ali Modu Sheriff-led National Working Committee, NWC, of the party.
The order delivered by Justice Okon Abang was upon a suit filed by two governorship aspirants of the PDP in Edo and Ondo states – Chief Benson Akingboye (Ondo) and Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma (Edo).
The ruling followed a motion on notice for interlocutory orders filed by the plaintiffs.
