Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno state has on Monday received the Senate President, Sen. Abubakar Bukola Saraki who was in the state to condole the people of the state over the death of Alh. Shettima Ali Monguno and Alhaji Garba Abba Satomi......
The Senate President and entourage were received at the Maiduguri International Airport by Hon. Kashim Shettima and their first point of call was the Shehu of Borno's palace (Alhaji Dr Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-kanemi) where they condoled him over the death of Alh. Shettima Ali Monguno who he described as a true Nigerian who loves Nigeria with passion and use the opportunity to condole him on the demise of Alhaji Garba Abba Satomi who died on Saturday.
They also proceed to Late Ali Monguno's house where they condoled his immediate family and prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
The Senate President and his entourage were later at the Nurses village where they visited the more than 500 aged sick, vulnerable women and malnurished children rescued by the Nigerian Army from Sambisa are being kept for treatment by the Borno state Government.
Other members of his entourage include Sen. Mohammed Ali Ndume, Sen. Abu Kyari, Sen. Babakaka Bashir Garbai and Sen. Adamu Aleiro.
