Man commits suicide in McDonald's toilet

An unidentified man today killed himself in a McDonald's toilet leaving behind a note saying he did it to himself


The man, described as in his 50s, shot himself in the head with a .22 pistol Tuesday, in the bathroom of the East 42nd Street location.

 He was discovered by employees at 12:20 p.m., the sources said.The man had entered the restaurant about 40 minutes earlier, ordered and paid for food before heading upstairs to the second floor dining area.

A note found by his body read, "I did this myself. Sorry. Too old. No family," the sources said.
