Correspondents who were in the state for a special project stumbled across the young men in their late thirties at the Funmilayo Olayinka drive in Ado Ekiti, the state's capital...
One of the young men smoking Indian Hemp under a truck at the Funmilayo Olayinka drive in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital.
As soon as our correspondents got to their joint, a certain young man approached them with the items and in advertising the product, he asked if they were interested.
"SK (meaning skunk) is here," one of the boys told our correspondent while our photojournalist moved away.
Some of the buyers and sellers meet. One of them out the product on his ear and holds another in his hand.
He moved closer, opened the nylon containing the items and as a way of convincing our correspondent, said: "this is fresh meat, available as you want it."
This young man called out to NAIJ.com's correspondent, asking if he was interested in SK (Skunk).
But, our correspondent looked uninterested and moved on with the journey.
A critical look at the spot showed that the young boys were the 'lords' of that area and were always selling their stuff unperturbed.
This man hid his face from the camera while our photojournalist was moving round.
Some Hausa traders were seen directly opposite them as well as several other street urchins as they went about their business without any form of disturbance or apprehension..
