Nigerians react to allegations Saraki received salary from Kwara state govt 4 years after leaving office as governor

Nigerians on twitter are reacting to yesterday's claims by an EFCC detective, Micheal Wetklas, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, that Senate President, Bukola Saraki was still collecting a monthly salary from Kwara state government after vacating office as governor of the state four years ago....

 

This has however been denied by the state government who released a statement last night stressing that Saraki was only being paid a monthly pension of N1.2 million. 

 

Many Nigerians are angry about the development and are now calling for the pension package of other former state governors to be made public. See more of their reactions after the cut..
