Six medical doctors and one driver from Ekiti state on Sunday lost their lives in an accident involving a 13-passenger bus a few kilometres to Kaduna.
The governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, who had declared a three-day mourning, to mourn the deceased, described the incident "as the lowest point in the history of the state and a monumental loss" to the people of the state and Nigeria.
The governor had also declared that all flags should be flown at half-mast from Monday to Wednesday.
The governor urged families, friends and professional colleagues of the deceased, especially members of the NMA to take solace in God who "giveth and taketh when it pleases Him."
