Gaping sinkhole splits road in two (photos)

It's not doomsday yet but folks in Thailand are already having a sneak peek...

  A shocking scene greeted commuters in Thailand when they turned up to meet a 13ft deep sinkhole stretching 400ft. 

Authorities have closed the road indefinitely and inspectors have reported finding small cracks at various point along the carriageway.

An official said the water level at a nearby canal had fallen significantly and could be related to the collapse.
