According to the press statement issued in Ado Ekiti yesterday by the Special Assistance to the wife of the governor, Gbenga Ariyibi, Mrs Fayose paid the medical bill of the minor and 11 others at the Specialist Hospital, Ijero Ekiti yesterday during her visit to the hospital .
The girl who could hardly walk nor speak coherently was impregnated by an unknown person in the town and later delivered the baby through Caesarian Section, CS. Speaking while presenting cheque to offset the medical bills of the minor and others, Mrs Fayose lamented the fate of the minor and warned parents to be extra careful in monitoring their female children.
“This is a serious problem that needed to be tackled by all the well meaning members of the society,how would somebody like her be impregnated. “ Surely somebody ,must have impregnated her and leave her to her fate, her parent must keep a close watch on her as the person who put her in a family way may still be after her
The governor’s wife who fumed over the rate at which minors and girl child are being defied by some men ,said these call for serious concern by all. Earlier,the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital,Dr Olagbaju Adebayo commended Mrs Fayose for her philanthropist gesture and for always remember the hospital in the area of assistance assistance
