On Tuesday, a man was pictured driving a reconstructed “bullet car” on
the streets of the southwestern Chinese city of Nanchong, Sichuan
Province, which drew crowds of bystanders....
But soon after its debut
drive, the eye-catching UN-licensed vehicle was stopped by local police
due to safety concerns.
"There are three tires in total. All of them are bike tires,” an officer
told local media News. “The car quality cannot be guaranteed and it
presents a high risk of danger,” he added.
"I know it’s dangerous to hit the road, and I haven’t driven it in
public before. Today I was in a rush to send my child to school, so I
came up with the idea to drive it since the school is quite close,”
explained the car owner, who is also the inventor. According to him, the
car is not electric but human powered.
