Ekiti NSCDC Arrests Petrol Dealers, Black Marketers

The organisation has also arrested Funmilayo Kolawole and Samson Oyedokun for allegedly storing over 600 litres of Premium Motor Spirit PMC) and selling at outrageous prices.

A statement yesterday by the NSCDC Commandant in Ekiti State, Mr. Raji Ibrahim listed the petrol stations to include: John Olatunde Filling Station, Yokoto Filling Station and Famak Filling Station in Emure Ekiti, which were alleged to be selling the product at N120 per litre.

The statement, signed by the Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, Ekiti Command, Mr. Tolu Afolabi listed FOS OIL and FMO Oil in Ise
Ekiti in Ise/Orun Local Government as other filling stations perpetrating the crime, and whose owners had been arrested.

The Commandant, who decried the act of sabotage among marketers, said the NSCDC is incurably committed to assist the Federal Government to enforce the new pump price in Ekiti.

Raji also disclosed the determination of the security agency to arrest and prosecute those sabotaging the economy of the country and making lives difficult for the masses.

“Keeping PMS at home for the purpose of black marketing is very dangerous as we are in the dry season in which outbreak of fire is rampant and a little spark can destroy people’s assets. “We urge the people to provide privileged information that can lead to the arrest of suspected fuel filling station owners or dealers who sell above the approved pump price or group of individuals that are into black marketing.”
