Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti cautions fresh students against unethical practices [ #abuad ]


Fresh students of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, ABUAD, yesterday took their matriculation oath with a pledge to be of good conduct...


Founder and President of ABUAD, Aare Afe Babalola, who said at the institution’s seventh matriculation ceremony that he established the institution as an example of how university should be run, charged the 1,513 students to exhibit high ethical standards.

He told the new students to believe in themselves, adding that with industry, determination and faith, they would excel with the wide range of opportunities before them.

Babalola, who said the refusal of some students to comply with directives had been a barrier to moulding characters, urged the new intakes to follow the footsteps of the pioneers, who had made the institution proud in character, learning and enterprise.

The ABUAD founder pleaded with parents to join hands with the institution to give the students quality education as well attends parents/ teachers consultative forum meetings.

The institution’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Michael Ajisafe, advised the new students to avoid bad company and shun vices and anti-social behaviour which are capable of ruining their bright and luxuriant future.
