12 Standing Committees of the Nigerian Senate were inaugurated today.

 The committees are: Education (Basic & Secondary), Women Affairs, Privatization Committee, Upstream Petroleum, Downstream Petroleum, Culture & Tourism, Gas Resources, Employment, Labour & Productivity, States & Local Government, Special Duties Affairs, Establishment & Public Service, and the Sports & Youth Development Committee.
