NEWS FLASH:
INEC Set To Announce Official Results
Reports reaching NairaNaijaNews.com indicate that the Independent National Electoral Commission is getting ready to roll out official results of today’s governorship election across all local government areas...
The commission had earlier taken to twitter on its official handle to disregard results being posted on Social Media, describing them as “inaccurate”.
It was gathered that voting has been completed in most polling centres in the state, hence counting of the votes has commenced.
However, at all polling units visited by NairaNaijaNews.com reporter in Lokoja, the-money-in-exchange-for-vote was the practice.
This practice was seen at Ganaja polling unit 009, , polling unit 006 Bishop Ajayi Crowther, ‎ward A, polling unit 006 Lokoja LGA‎ and other polling units across the state capital.
Voters were seen collecting money from party agents before voting. As at 4:17pm, some polling centres are beginning to count votes.
It was also reported that Destruction of election materials were destroyed at Etia-Aja Unit 27, Anyigba Ward, Dekina local government area.
Meanwhile, life has returned in the state capital Lokoja after the completion of the 6am to 6pm curfew.
Petrol stations in some parts of the capital have opened for business just as shop owners were seen opening up for business.
