the late Saheed Jimoh |
Saka Hammed, the 19-year-old SSS 2 student of Gaskia College, Amukoko, Lagos, who was alleged to have stabbed his school’s Labour Prefect, Saheed Jimoh, to death because he was punished on Wednesday, November 4, has been arrested by the State Police Command after being on the run...
Vanguard reports that Hammed was arrested by the police attached to the Amukoko Division after he had initially escaped from the scene of the fight that saw him stabbing Jimoh on the chest with a knife.
A student who spoke to reporters lamented the presence of cultists among the students.
“There are several cult factions in the school. It is an open secret that many students are involved in cult-related activities and the use of charms.
One of the common charms used by some of the students is called ‘no touch blood’, which is a very poisonous charm that kills instantly when it comes in contact with blood.
Perhaps, in the case of Saheed, his killer could have tried to test the potency of the charm.”
Another senior student revealed that that the fleeing Saka Hammed only resumed for the term on Monday.
The student said: “He failed woefully and was supposed to repeat SSS 2. He was in the same class with the deceased, who was promoted SSS 3. But he stopped coming to school.
“On Monday, his father brought him to school to see the principal. Only for the incident to occur on Wednesday.”
