Nigeria on Thursday night (early morning Friday in Africa) defeated hard-fighting Mexico 4-2 to set up an all-Africa final at the ongoing 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Chile, PANA reported....
In the final of the age-grade tournament slated for Sunday, defending champions Golden Eaglets of Nigeria will take on African champion Mali, which earlier beat Belgium 3-1 to reach the final.
Though Mexico went ahead first in the 8th minute, Nigeria equalized in the 35th minute through Kelechi Nwakali and shot ahead eight minutes later via a goal by Orji Okonkwo.
D. Cortes levelled up for Mexico in the 60th minute, but seven minutes later Nigeria again took the lead when Osinachi Ebere scored.
Victor Osihmen converted a penalty in the 83rd minute to make victory doubly sure for the Nigerians.
