Akpabio, who stated this while delivering his goodwill message to Nigerians on the country’s 55th independence anniversary during a plenary said, “We are not here to play destructive opposition. We want to place on record that we support this government and would do anything constitutional to ensure the success of the administration.”

He stated further that, “We also congratulate our President for presiding over the affairs of this country at 55, and want to use this opportunity to congratulate all Nigerians and appeal to them that they should continue to support the current administration as it strives to make life meaningful for us, even in the face of dwindling revenue,” he said.
