TRADING on the Lagos floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) yesterday remain ballish as value of quoted securities appreciated significantly at the close of transaction.

In the same vein, the All-Share Index further appreciated 1.3 per cent to close at 31,217.77 points compared with 0.20 per cent gained the previous session which closed at 30,825.00 points.
The NSE premium Index led seven sectoral gainers with a 3.6 per cent gain to close at 1,717.80 points against three sectoral losers led by the NSE Banking Index with a one per cent decline to close at 319.14 points, while the NSE Asem Index remained flat.
Honeywell Flour Plc, topped 22 equity gainers with a 9.84 per cent or 24 kobo gain to close at N2.68 per share, followed by Vono Products Plc which added 6.74 per cent or 6 kobo to close at 95 kobo per share while University Press Plc rose 4.95 per cent or 27 kobo to close at N5.73 per share.
UACN Property Development Co. Limited appreciated 4.88 per cent or 38 kobo to close at N8.17 per share while NPF Microfinance Bank Plc increased 4.85 per cent or 5 kobo to close at N1.08 per share.
Conversely, Red Star Express Plc led 26 other losers as it depreciated 5 per cent or 22 kobo to close at N4.18 per share, followed by Portland Paints and Products Nigeria Plc which declined 4.87 per cent or 21 kobo to close at N4.10 per share, while Trans-nationwide Express Plc declined 4.72 per cent or 6 kobo to close at N1.21 per share.
