Nigerian Prisons Denies Charles Okah Death Rumor

The Nigerian Prison Service has reacted to the death rumor of the alleged mastermind of the October 1 Independence Day celebration bombing, Charles Okah....


In a statement by their spokesman, Enobore Francis, the Service said Okah is alive in the prison. Below is the statement:

“I wish to react to the numerous calls from media correspondents seeking
clarifications into the rumoured death of Mr. Charles Okah in prison custody and state that the information is not true.

“Okah is hale and hearty and going about his normal daily routine in safe custody. The rumour has no iota of truth and therefore should be disregarded. “

Some media outfit had reported that Charles Okah died today in Kuje prisons where he has been held in custody for a number of years now.
