About N60m has been paid as compensation to people whose lands were used for the construction of a helipad for President Muhammadu Buhari in his home town in Daura.
Over four hectares of land was used for the helipad.....
Speaking at the presentation of cash and cheques to the beneficiaries at the weekend, the Secretary to the State Government, Mustapha Inuwa, represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Lands and Survey, Salihu Rimi, said standard procedures were followed in the payment and to ascertain the true owners of the land.
He said the true copies of certificates of occupancy and yellow cards were all verified before the payment.
