The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday insisted that the former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaech and the All Progressives Congress are corrupt, reports Vanguard.
The party in a statement by its Rivers State chapter noted that under Amaechi as governor corruption was legalized and institutionalized.
The PDP was reacting to claims by Amaechi at a function in Abuja that President Muhammadu Buhari is begging him to accept appointment as a Minister of Federal Republic of Nigeria or Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The PDP stated that Amaechi and members of the APC are corrupt and lack qualities to hold public office in a government that claims to be fighting corruption and making desired change in governance.
The party accused President Muhammadu Buhari of only concentrating on those who worked under former President Goodluck Jonathan and members of the PDP in his ‘fight against corruption.
The party described Buhari’s action as witch-hunting and selective prosecution.
