Oil, curse to Niger Delta – MULADE

THE Chairman Kokodiagbene Community of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, Sheriff Mulade, has said that crude oil exploration and exploitation has become a curse to the region.

Mulade who spoke in Kokodiagbene during the commissioning of the N30million community hall built by the council, said “We thank you for this great project, it is the first government intervention in our community.

“Crude oil has become more of a curse to the Niger Delta region as it’s exploitation has led to poverty and despoliation of our environment. The communities suffer while the wealth is diverted to other regions.
