THE Delta State House of Assembly has suspended the chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area in Delta State, Henry Baro, from office.
Baro’s suspension appeared hazy, yesterday, but sources said it had to do with the recent happenings in the council, which was invaded by thugs of warring National Union of Road Transport, NURTW, last Wednesday.

Special Assistant to the chairman on Media and Publicity, Jere Hilary, in a statement, however, called on the people of Uvwie to continue to be law-abiding and go about their daily routines.
He said: “As an advocate of peace, Baro Henry got the news of his suspension by the Delta State House of Assembly with rude shock . The suspension is contrary to the provisions of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria."
