AFTER the earlier postponements of Belle of African Nations,BOAN, due to the 2015 General Elections,Platinum Entertainment Nigeria says preparations are heating up towards the hosting of the Pan-African pageant. Tagged “Heroine In the Midst of Heroes”,the maiden edition of BOAN would be celebrating the uniqueness and heroism of Madame Efunroye Tinubu, a woman who soared and dominated territories that were mainly reserved for men.

In recognition of her bravery,the play “Madame Tinubu” by Prof. Akinwunmi Isola is billed to be staged, as the facilitators of BOAN unveil the different sides of a woman likened to the Gelede masquerade.
“Aside from celebrating Madame Tinubu,we would also be honouring African heroines who were or are makers and shakers of their worlds -presenting them with the “Heroine in the midst of Heroes” awards”,
