Three sisters die in Lagos fire

Tragedy struck on Friday morning in the Mechanic Village area of Oke Afa, Isolo, Lagos, when a midnight fire ravaged some shops, burning three sisters to death in the process.

Our correspondent learnt that the three sisters of the same family, whose names had yet to be known, were aged 5,7, and 12 years old.
It was gathered that their guardian reportedly locked them in a shop before the fire incident.

Their corpses were said to have been removed by policemen from the Ejigbo division.

Two fire trucks from Isolo and Ikotun branches of the Lagos State Fire Service were seen at the scene to put out the fire.

The Director of the service, Dr. Razak Fadipe, who confirmed the incident, said efforts were on to curtail the fire.
