Ogun police arrest two bandits, recover arms

The men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Ogun State Police Command on Sunday arrested two suspected armed robbers in Agbado, Ifo Local Government Area of the state after the hoodlums had engaged the security operatives in a gun duel.

The SARS, attached to Agbado Division of the state command, were said to have responded to distress calls from residents of Somuyiwa and Dalemo areas after the robbers had stormed the two communities, dispossessing the residents of their valuable and injuring some of them in the process.

In a statement, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the anti-robbery team responded to the distress call, engaging the hoodlums in a gun battle, fatally injuring two of them, who were subsequently arrested.
