Murtala Nyako: Court frees ex-governor, son on N1.4bn bail

The former governor of Adamawa state, Murtala Nyako and his son Abdulazeez have been granted bail of N350 million.
An Abuja High Court let the ex-governor and his son walk at a sitting today, July 10.
According to the Economic Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), the father and son, and two others used five companies - Blue Opal Nigeria limited, Serore Farms & Extension Limited, Pagoda Fortunes Limited, Towers Assets Management Limited and Crust Energy Limited, to siphon Adamawa state funds running to N15 billion.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
