Father of four commits suicide in Ondo

A father of four has reportedly committed suicide by hanging at Oke Aro area of Akure, Ondo State capital, allegedly out of frustration.

The deceased, identified as Dayo, a driver, reportedly took his life when he found it difficult to fend for his family.

His dangling corpse was discovered in his rented apartment located at New Town, Oke Aro Titun, along Idanre Road in the metropolis.

Vanguard learned that the deceased had been having some problems with owners of vehicles he drove for commercial purpose in recent times.

He was said to have been sacked by two of his employers within three weeks over some issues that had to do with daily remittance.

It was learned that the owner of a Dyna bus, who engaged him sent him packing, while another owner of a taxi asked him to go a week after he resumed work.

His inability to secure another driving job to take care of his family members reportedly pushed him into killing himself.

Police sources hinted that some neighbours who noticed his absence raised alarm. His wife and children, according to a source, are living elsewhere.
