He also declared that the Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led National Working Committee (NWC), had committed no crime by setting agenda on who should be elected as leaders of the 8th National Assembly, in line with the party supremacy doctrine.
Faparusi, a member of Ekiti APC Restoration Group, gave an assurance that he and other like-minded APC leaders were working hard to unify the party and bring all splinter groups under one umbrella, so as to defeat the Peoples’ Democratic party in 2018. Expressing APC’s determination to recapture the state, Faparusi, said such herculean task could only be achieved, if the party had a united house devoid of acrimony.
“As leaders and beneficiaries of the party, we must reposition the APC. We are meeting with former governors, former senators and members of the House of Representatives and others, on the need to brainstorm on the future of our party.
He spoke in Ode Ekiti, recently during a thanksgiving, marking the completion of his four-year term, as a federal parliamentarian.
Present at the occasion were former Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party and now APC Chieftain, Chief Ropo Adesanya, Senator Gbenga Aluko, represented by his Director of Mobilisation, Mr. Dare Abey, Ex-council boss, Mr. Paul Abegunde, former Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr. Apalara Adewumi, among others.
