Bashir Ibrahim, the National Chairman, Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM), has emerged the National Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC).
In election conducted on Friday at INEC National Headquarters in Abuja, Ibrahim polled 14 votes to defeat his closest rival Mr Peter Ameh who polled 13 votes.
Ameh is the outgoing National Secretary of IPAC.
In his acceptance speech, Ibrahim promised to build a strong, influential and credible organization similar to other IPACs all over the world.

“I will do my best to justify the confidence repose on me,” he promised.
The position of National Secretary was won by Mr Godson Okoye, who is the National Chairman of United Democratic Party (UDP).
The position of Publicity Secretary was won by Chief Dike Oghefi, who pooled 14 votes to defeat Mr Agbo Major who pooled 13 votes.
