The peninsula was a subject of dispute between the two countries, forcing them to approach the ICJ.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed Buhari’s position on his Twitter handle.
“Nigeria will abide by ICJ ruling on Bakassi, says PMB (President Buhari),” Adesina wrote.
The presidential spokesman also quoted Buhari as promising to get all internally displaced persons in Nigeria and those who are refugees in Cameroon back to their homes.
