Tecno Unveils The WinPad 10: A 2-in-1 Hybrid Tablet PC

At the Jumia Mobile Week Megathon, Chinese OEM Tecno launched Tecno 8H, the company’s first Android 5.0 Lollipop device. They have raised the bar even higher with the revelation if its first 2-in-1 hybrid tablet PC.
The device named Tecno WinPad 10 is also Tecno’s first Windows tablet, it was launched at an event in Kenya. The WinPad 10 features a 10.1-inch WXGA IPS display, 32 GB ROM, 2 GB DDR3L RAM and Intel Atom Z3735F (64 bit) Bay Trail chipset.

The hybrid tablet weighs 550 grams and it is bundled with one year Microsoft Office 365 personal subscription. This includes the latest version of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and 1 TB of cloud storage on OneDrive. There is also built-in 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooh 4.0 and 7,000mAh battery to spice things up.
“Kenya is a key market for us and the launch of the Tecno WinPad 10 demonstrates our commitment to providing innovative products to our customers. We believe this product will allow users to transition smoothly from business to lifestyle increasing their productivity by giving them the power of a laptop and the freedom of a tablet.” said Steven Huang, Tecno Mobile General Manager for tablet business unit.
Users of the device will have the option to upgrade to Windows 10 for free when it launches on July 29. For Tecno loyalist in Nigeria, the device hasn’t been launched for the Nigeria market, I have contacted them for more information regarding this and there would be an update as soon as there is an official information.
