Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has asked Nigerians to experience patience and keep faith with the Federal Government to assist it bring about the wanted lasting change in the country.
VP addressed State House journalists on his first day at Aso Rock in Abuja.
Osinbajo dared Nigerians to demonstrate understanding on what the incumbent administration needed to do for the common good of the society.
He noted that change is not a simple task but vowed that as leaders they will set examples for all citizens to follow to accomplish the desired everlasting change.
His words: “Change is not going to be an easy process. So, there will be a great deal of patience that is required and understanding of what we need to do.
“And we are going to try to bring about permanent change it also means that people are also going to change, that the people will also change.
“But, I understand clearly that it is the leadership that must set the example and we are prepared to do that and we will do that.”
Vice President, who noted the nation needed frank leaders like President Muhammadu Buhari, showed the readiness of the government to fulfill its campaign promises to Nigerians.
It should be mentioned that President Buhari and Osinbajo were firstly functioning from the Defence House, Wuse 11, Abuja, since their inauguration last three weeks due to renovation works in the presidential villa.
They have finally resumed the work in Aso Rock on June 22, Monday.
On their first day in the villa the leaders of the country met with security chiefs.
President Buhari is expected to appoint some main officials soon.
