The unfavoured royal dynasties that were opposed to the emergence of one Jimi Adu as Ogoga-elect on Wednesday staged a peaceful protest in Ikere Ekiti, they appealto  Governor Ayodele Fayose to order fresh process to stop the fierce kingship matter in the town.
The families described as needless the ongoing struggle for the Ogoga traditional stool in the kingdom, branding the selection of Adu by some kingmakers as a flagrant breach of trust and the tradition of the town.
The families, comprising Ogbenuote and Agabaola princes and princesses,  maintained that Adu’s  emergence flies  in the face of the State
Chieftaincy law and the tradition that place high premium on Ifa consultation to select an Oba.
Briefing newsmen on behalf of the families, Chief Oladiimeji Adegboyega and Prince Francis Aladejebi, maintained their earlier stand that Adu is not a biological member of neither Ogbenuote or Agabaola ruling houses.
Some of their placards read: “Ikere Ekiti Needs Peace,”  “We want Fayose to Call For Fresh Nomination,” “No to Jimi Alagbado”, “Wole
Olanipekun Is not From Royal Family”, and “No to Imposition of Ogoga”, among others
