Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has declared that his administration would only appoint 14 commissioners in view of the financial crisis facing the State.
The governor said this on Friday while featuring on a monthly radio and television programme, “Meet Your Governor”.
According to him, he deliberately refused to announce names of commissioners since he assumed office because of paucity of funds.
This he said, was because the immediate past administration appointed more than enough number of commissioners as well as 102 special advisers, saying that the present economic situation in the state will not allow him to repeat that.
He therefore assured the people of the state that the list of the commissioners would be presented to the state House of Assembly within 48 hours.
