Wives have to give it to their mother in-law, at least they won't be married to their husbands if their mothers didn't give birth to them.
We all know these mother in-laws get in the middle of marriages sometimes knowingly or unknowingly but wives can at least learn a thing or two from these formidable forces.
And as the years go by stronger bonds can be formed between wives and mother in laws.
- Everyone Sees Things Differently: Everyone views things in a different light and weighs in on topics of discussion within their own retrospect. And this is not only normal but also completely positive. While initially you may not always agree with your in-law's opinion, it is healthy to incorporate other views into your insight.
- Everyone Loves Differently: No one is going to love your children or husband the way you do because you were taught differently and have cultivated love based on your own experiences. As a daughter-in-law you have the opportunity to see firsthand, from your husband, the outcome of love. You can now gain further insight and share a bigger love and devotion
- I'm Not Alone: Your husband's mother is full of great advice and wisdom. Sometimes it may be difficult to step aside and view things from a different lens but your mother-in-law can help you identify with concerns you have as a woman, mother and wife. She has life experience and can help you gain a better understanding on circumstances that you may find challenging.
- Age is Only a Number: Every woman stresses out about her age and how the world will perceive her. My husband's mother has taught me that age is merely a number. As long as you're happy with your soul and the life you're living then you'll be okay. If you get bent up about your age will lose sight of the important aspects of life and miss out on a lot.
- Your Heart Can Grow: It may not seem possible but your heart always has room to love one more person. A mother will always love her children and have an unconditional compassion for them. However, it takes a very special woman to accept a spouse into the family. My mother-in-law has taught me that unconditional love goes beyond blood.
- A Mother's Job is Never Over: Mothers always want everything to be perfect and under control whether their children are young or grown. I've learned to recognize these efforts as blessings and understand that one day I will be in my mother-in-law's shoes.
