There was a mighty roar when Buhari was announced winner in the Sijuade ward a few minutes ago.
Unfortunately, there were so many people it was impossible to get actual figures - only people at the front could have heard it. As it is dark, I need to get home as early as possible as I live a bit far from here - am not going to waste time trying to get actual figures.
But the roar was amazing - middle aged and elderly people jumped up shouting sai Buhari.
I even saw an SA to the government saying yes! yes!! yes!!
If this is repeated accross the state, Buhari should comfortably hit 60%, something that would have been unthinkable just months ago.
By the way, this is a civil servants area surrounded by govt quarters and mostly hard core labour party area.
