President Goodluck Jonathan will on Saturday (today) visit the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran and other traditional rulers in Osun State.
The Coordinator of the campaign organisation of the President in Osun State, Mr. Jide Adeniji, who is also the chairman of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, confirmed the visit in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Osogbo on Friday.
It will be recalled that the President held a meeting with some traditional rulers in Ogun State last weekend and later met with the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi in Ogbomoso and other monarchs in Oyo State.
The visit to the traditional rulers is believed to be one of the strategies of the President to woo more voters to vote for him in the forthcoming presidential election.
The FERMA chairman said, “The President will visit the Ooni of Ife on Saturday. He will also visit Oba Adekunle Aromolaran.”
Adeniji had earlier in an interview with our correspondent said that Jonathan needed the support of Nigerians from all over the country to win his re-election bid.
The FERMA boss said that the President had done so many projects in the South West contrary to the claims of the All Progressives Congress that Jonathan had done nothing in the zone.
According to him, the Lagos- Ibadan Expressway which has been abandoned by successive administrations is being reconstructed by the Jonathan administration.
