CSKA Moscow and Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, has allayed fears about Nigeria’s performance at the World Cup in Brazil.
Musa told MTNFootball.com that the Eagles will make record as the first African country to play in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
He said, “My target is to help the Super Eagles to reach a height we and any other African team have not reached in the World Cup.
“It is the least stage I am hoping we reach in Brazil. We will certainly take the games as they come.”
Musa also identified Lionel Messi as the biggest player that he would like to play against.
“That will be a tough game but it will bring the best out of us. I believe we will win the game,” Musa said.
He added that the Mexico friendly in the United States was a good one, which served the purpose for which it was meant.
Musa, however, hoped that his club would be able to win the Russian Premier League and the League Cup.
“The pre-season was great. It was a very hard and good pre-season we have had out there. The league will be a very big and tough battle this season. A lot of teams want the trophies but I am optimistic that we will win the double,” Musa said.
