L'Wren Scott's Talent Was Designing, Not Being a Girlfriend

When news broke yesterday of the tragic, untimely death of fashion designer and model L’Wren Scott, headlines were quicker to name drop her as Mick Jagger’s girlfriend than recognize her as the accomplished talent she was.

In case you didn’t know, Scott started her career as a Calvin Klein model and quickly advanced to doing shows for the likes for Chanel and editorials for famed photographer Bruce Weber.

Her first collection as a designer, titled “Little Black Dress,” debuted in 2006 and featured wearable pieces, all in black. The brand instantly attracted a loyal, celebrity following and has been worn by the likes of Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, and even first lady Michelle Obama.

With Scott’s genius and creativity at the forefront of our minds, rather than whom she was dating, we present some of our favorite L’Wren Scott moments from the past two seasons.
